Shop for your summer job at The Warehouse

Christmas is the busiest most exciting time of year, and The Warehouse is on the lookout for people to help their team in stores over the festive season.

Successful applicants will enjoy a fast-paced environment with lots of variety, whether it's stocking shelves, interacting with customers or ensuring stores are brimming with the products customers love and need.

Kim Nicholas, Chapter Lead for Talent Acquisition at The Warehouse Group, says the available roles are perfect for high school and university students looking to earn some extra spending money over the summer holidays, but also for parents and grandparents who are wanting part-time work and to build community connections.

"These roles are great for meeting new people, seeing how different positions work within a store environment and for visibility of what future opportunities and career progression can come from working in a large Kiwi business. Of course while also enjoying discounts and competitive pay rates."

Now an Operations Support Chapter Member, Jacob Colligan began his early working career with The Warehouse and spent many years working Christmas in stores.

"Christmas has a different kind of buzz to the rest of the year, and the best part about it is helping to make it special for our customers, whether that's finding trees and decorations for their homes or great gifts for their families.

"Working in-store at Christmas allows you to learn about several departments and what it takes to work there, which helped with my progress as I moved through several store roles to The Warehouse Group Support Office."

The Christmas opportunities are fixed-term and successful applicants will be required to work throughout the holiday period with the opportunity to increase shifts during the busy weeks.
