Torpedo7 gears up in Napier

Torpedo7 has opened its first Hawkes Bay store at a new shopping precinct on the corner of Prebensen Drive and Ford Road in Napier.

The Napier store is the first of its kind for Torpedo7 and features a refreshed look and feel to acknowledge the local environment.

Chief Executive Officer Simon West said he’s been looking forward to opening the Napier store, particularly because the city is so passionate about the outdoors.

"Napier is a unique destination for outdoor adventure, and we're thrilled to be able to equip locals and tourists alike with the gear they need to make the most out of the natural wonders of the area."

The spacious 1200m2 fit-out showcases imagery of various outdoor hotspots across the Hawkes Bay region. It also houses an onsite bike workshop for customers wanting gear repaired, safety checks or maintenance services from specifically trained bike mechanics.

Torpedo7 Napier store manager, Todd Donaldson, says the store team is looking forward to sharing their own outdoor passions with customers.

“Amongst the team are river rafters, trekkers and mountain bikers. Many in the team have spent years exploring the region and are keen to support customers to do the same – whether it's Waipatiki Beach, Te Ana Falls or the Ahuriri Loop.”

The store offers a full range of Torpedo7 adventure gear, including bike, snow, water, camping, clothing, and fitness, and will be open seven days a week from 9 am to 6 pm.
