TWG launches contactless Click & Collect with DriveThru trial

The new Click & Collect service gives The Warehouse, Warehouse Stationery, Noel Leeming and Torpedo7 customers the option to easily place Click & Collect orders online from either brand and then pick up their items in a safe and contactless way from a designated collection point.

Customers who have placed a Click & Collect order online can select the store they’d like to pick up from. The customer will be notified via email and SMS if they’ve opted in once their order is ready. There will be a pick-up point outside the store where customers can provide their order number and collect the items in a safe and contactless way, only after they have been notified that their order is ready. The service is launching at over 230 stores nationwide from Tuesday 28 April. Learn more about what trading at Alert Level 3 looks like here.

“We wanted to offer Kiwis another way to shop safely as we transition into Alert Level 3. While we can’t open our stores during this time, we can offer another safe and secure way for Kiwis to shop our complete online range that’s free, except for oversize items, and easy to use” says Pejman Okhovat, Chief Operating Officer, The Warehouse Group.

“This is just another example of how we are adapting our business to this changing environment and our team members are doing their best to provide customers with a convenient service, while keeping everyone safe.”

“Noel Leeming customers can make appointments for repairs, Torpedo7 customers can book in for a contactless bike service, and The Warehouse and Warehouse Stationery customers can get access to our full online product range through contactless Click & Collect, or online delivery” he said.

Following the move to Alert Level 3, The Warehouse and TheMarket.com have also launched an all-new DriveThru Click & Collect, the first of its kind in New Zealand. The trial service is launching at four Auckland The Warehouse stores this week– Albany, Westgate, Royal Oak and Manukau.

Justus Wilde, CEO TheMarket.com says offering a drive through collection alternative is an innovative way to bring Kiwis the things they need in a safe and convenient way at a time when stores are not able to be open.

“Under alert level 3, TheMarket.com will offer a drive and collect service for products such as groceries, in addition to 2+ million lifestyle products it sells online. We have partnered with a number of great food businesses including Foodbox, HyperMeat and Jess’s Underground Kitchen.

“Our partners like Foodbox source all their fresh high-quality products direct from reputable primary New Zealand producers, farmers and growers who usually supply to hospitality businesses that are now closed or operating in limited capacity due to Covid-19. ”

All of The Warehouse Group team members will be working safely in line with our PPE, Safe Distancing and Hygiene policy which align with the governments COVID-19 guidelines around physical distancing and safe working.
