The Warehouse Group talks Digital Communication with Workplace by Facebook

The Warehouse Group recently took part in Workplace from Facebook’s Asia Pacific Change Makers webinar series to discuss its use of Workplace, and in particular the Knowledge Library feature, to better communicate with its employees.

Melody Currey, Corporate Affairs Partner for The Warehouse Group, shared how Knowledge Library is making essential company resources more accessible to its frontline workers as well as improving digital team communication and encouraging company-wide cross-functional collaboration.

“By investing in our internal digital platforms, we know we’re supporting team members to help our customers.”

“We are aware that many retailers struggle with finding a way to effectively communicate with employees in customer-facing roles. We’ve found that Workplace from Facebook provides accessible and instant communication between our stores and Store Support Offices, as well as promoting cross-brand collaboration.”

“We believe the reason why Workplace has worked so well for us in improving engagement and culture is because of its easily accessible app and the fact that it has a similar interface to Facebook.”

Claire Weekes, Client Success Manager at Workplace from Facebook, facilitated the live panel discussion which highlighted The Warehouse Group’s journey to break down the communication silos and barriers which often occur with traditional intranets.

“The Warehouse Group was one of our earliest customers to deploy Knowledge Library, Workplace's home for essential company resources. With critical information including HR policies, product briefs and customer insights now at the fingertips of all team member on the shop floor, the increased productivity and customer focus is really impressive.”

“Being able to connect and communicate with everyone in your company - whether they're on the frontline, in an office, or working from a cafe - is critical to delivering an exceptional employee experience. Leading the way with their use of Workplace, The Warehouse Group has brought together 12,000 employees across multiple brands and geographies, helping to drive innovative practices that deliver business success.”

Workplace from Facebook was adopted by The Warehouse Group in 2019 to communicate with its extensive number team members across the country and enhance the employee experience through a variety of features that help team members share information and stay informed.
