An update from us on COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

Kia ora to our customers and communities.

On behalf of our entire team, I’m writing with an update on what we’re doing to prioritise your health and safety when you shop with The Warehouse Group family of Kiwi brands, as well as the health, safety and wellbeing of our team members.

Over the past few days, so many of you have been in our stores and on our website and mobile apps to purchase everything you need to keep you and your families healthy and safe, and your businesses trading well.

We’ve always taken great pride in keeping our stores clean and well-run for our customers. To make sure we can keep on serving you to the standard you love and expect, we have put in place an updated cleaning and sanitising plan for our stores, across all our brands, to ensure they're cleaned more frequently and with extra care. The same applies to our distribution centres and offices.

Like other businesses tackling this issue, we’re being guided by the Ministry of Health, which recommends regular cleaning as one of the most important preventive measures we can take.

Throughout, our team members are hard at work to make sure you can get what you need from our brands as easily as possible, whether in store or delivered when you shop online.

The Warehouse is seeing increased demand for cleaning products, household items, and pantry stocks. Meanwhile, Warehouse Stationery is experiencing similar high demand for office cleaning products, health and safety items, home office supplies, and canteen stocks.

We are supporting both brands by sending more products to stores as quickly as possible and limiting the number of some key items per purchase so we can ensure ample, available stocks for all customers.

Noel Leeming’s Passionate Experts are absolutely focused on maintaining their high standard of appliance and tech sales and expertise for customers, with an emphasis on ensuring customers can continue to benefit from their valuable Tech Solutions services, such as delivery and installation, and In-home Consultation.

Torpedo7 is gearing up their online services and deliveries so customers can shop from wherever they are, for whatever they need, and get their orders in good time.

We’re equally committed to caring for our team. Since January we’ve provided our team members with up-to-the-moment guidance and information so they can keep themselves and their families safe, and we have asked our team members to restrict their travel as much as possible.

Right at the centre of The Warehouse Group’s purpose is to make Kiwis’ lives better every day, whatever that day may look like. So we’re hard at work to keep our stores open, and our online shopping services ticking over, so you can continue to get what you need for your family, business, and lifestyle at our family of Kiwi brands.

As circumstances continue to develop, one thing will remain the same: We will make our decisions with the health, safety and wellbeing of our customers, team members and communities as our highest priority.

Ngā mihi nui,

Nick Grayston

Group CEO, The Warehouse Group
