The Warehouse reveals Top Toys for Christmas 2021

With the festive season just around the corner, The Warehouse has revealed its list of top toys set to excite kids around New Zealand this Christmas.

Lonnica Van Engelen, Chapter Member for Buying Commercial and Supplier Relationships at The Warehouse Group, says the best toys are those that can be used anywhere, at any time.

"We know how much kids love a range of toys – from outdoor water fights with friends and family to the fidget pop-it in the car for drives to the beach this summer".

"The list features something for everyone to enjoy, including a Hot Wheels Glow in the Dark Loop Track, Airfun Quadcopter that's at the mercy of kids using the remote control, to Bunch-o-Balloons rapid-fill from toy brand ZURU, and this year's trending fidget pop-it range.

The Galactic Snackin' Grogu, also known as 'Baby Yoda', from the popular Disney+ series The Mandalorian, is another predicted favourite for kids this Christmas.

"The Snackin Grogu is one of my favourites - and kids too. This toy is special because it comes with four snack accessories - a bowl, cookie, shifter knob and spoon - so kids can feed Grogu, and he will react with eating yummy or yucky sound effects. It also lets you know when he wants to be held and will harness the power of The Force when you pat its head".

Van Engelen says Barbie and LEGO are also staples on the list of the top toys, as they offer fantastic play value and can be passed down and enjoyed through generations.

Other favourites making it into the 2021 list include ZURU Toy Mini Brands collectible, Jumanji The Game and Monopoly Classic Board Game – something for the whole family.
