Warehouse Stationery Scholarships

Warehouse Stationery is passionate about education. As part of our commitment to making education accessible and affordable to every Kiwi, Warehouse Stationery is proud to partner with The Salvation Army in providing scholarships to fund up to six young New Zealanders every year who would otherwise not have been able to afford to participate in tertiary education. This is how the scholarships work:

From its close connections with communities throughout New Zealand, The Salvation Army nominates young Kiwis with lots of ability, drive and desire to be the best they can through furthering their education but who don’t have the financial ability to do so. This is where WAREHOUSE STATIONERY SCHOLARSHIPS come in. Depending on course costs we pay fees for up to six deserving young people so they can attend a polytechnic of their choice to gain qualifications to help them move forward in life.

But there’s a lot more to WAREHOUSE STATIONERY SCHOLARSHIPS than that. Every recipient is also provided with at least four hours per week employment in a Warehouse Stationery store to assist them with living costs. They will also receive monthly support from qualified mentors from The Salvation Army. This additional support helps provide further infrastructure to the students to maximise their chances of successful completion of their qualification.

Both Warehouse Stationery and The Salvation Army believe that it’s important to be creating an environment where people become supporters of their wider community so we’re asking all scholarship recipients to give back by acting as a mentor for other young people who are participating in one of the many youth programmes that The Salvation Army provides. We’re also asking scholarship recipients to do regular blogs so that people can follow their progress and so that other young people may be inspired to go on to further education themselves. We’ll provide links to these blogs once they are underway.

Between our two organisations our aim is that the WAREHOUSE STATIONERY SCHOLARSHIPS will help change some young Kiwis’ lives for ever.
