It’s no yolk – eggs are $5 at The Warehouse

In a move set to ruffle feathers, The Warehouse has taken a crack at the price of eggs.

Cartons of a dozen Farmer Brown Fresh colony size 6 eggs are just $5 in all stores across the motu.

Thousands of cartons were sold when The Warehouse ran the same deal on December 13th and December 20th 2023, so The Warehouse is responding to what Kiwis want, and the retailer is now offering the deal as an everyday low price.

“We hatched this plan after seeing how well Kiwis responded to the $5 price as part of our Daily Deals promotion, and we hope plenty of smart and savvy shoppers get down to The Warehouse to grab a carton of eggs,” says The Warehouse’s Jenny Epke.

“While they are there we’d encourage customers to grab some of our excellent value Market Kitchen pantry essentials or try our range of fruit and vegetables, if they live near one of our 22 stores with fresh produce in it,” she says.

The new $5 price on eggs follows The Warehouse’s price drop on 700g Mainland Colby and Edam cheese which is just $8, the launch of Market Kitchen butter in 2023, which is currently just $4.30, and the very popular Palm Corned Beef which is just $5.

“We’re focusing on bringing grocery prices down in a tough grocery market, and are striving to be the cheapest go-to for breakfast and lunchbox essentials for Kiwi families,” Jenny says.

Kiwis can get a dozen Farmer Brown Fresh colony size 6 eggs for just $5 in every The Warehouse store.
